It would be cool to see another company take the Iris idea and fly with it.IZotope’s Trash 2 takes mangling your audio to the next level. Some of us feel burned when we shelled out a LOT more for Iris 1, then they introduced Iris 2 WITHOUT shared compatibility with 1, had the nerve to charge for it, ended up going backwards in some other areas, etc. BreakTweaker and Stutter Edit are two others. Some of their lines like Ozone continue to be iterated on, but there are the dead ones. Izotope are doing steep discounts on stuff like this to see how much residual cash they can pickup. To set expectations, the price you pay is for what it can do now, with no future upgrades, and no supported compatibility if you upgrade your OS and it breaks stuff.
